The autobiography of Group Captain B. Drake DSO, DFC and bar, DFC (US). Written with Chris Shores, this is the story of one of the most colourful of the RAF's fighter pilots of the Second World War. Drake flew Hurricanes in France in 1940, fought over the channel in 1941 and also served in West Africa, the desert war, and led a Typhoon wing with 2TAF. He ended the war SHAEF HQ in the U. S. Post war he served in Japan and the far east, taking up several staff appointments, before returning to command RAF Chivenor.
