Since the Lockheed Constellation Charles Kingsford Smith climbed out of Sydney through drizzling rain shortly after 10 pm on I December 1947, Qantas has carried countless Australians between Sydney and London, the Kangaroo Route.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of that historic first flight, Qantas is proud to present the story of the route's development, The Longest Hop.
