The Forgotten Bomber

On Sunday 21 June 1987, the dreams of a dedicated team of enthusiasts came to an end when the Bristol Blenheim that they had so lovingly restored crashed to the ground during an air display at Denham. Twelve long years' work came tumbling down, not because of some technical failure, but because of human error.
Graham Warner, founder and proprietor of the British Aerial Museum and the man behind this most unlikely and ill-starred restoration project, tells the whole dramatic story of the discovery of the part-restored shell, the formation of the dedicated team of enthusiasts, the gradual realisation of the dream, and the final tragedy.
