Winged Victory

A reflection over a lifetime's experiences, 'Winged Victory' takes it's readers through a carefree childhood in pre-war Britain and an adolescence troubled by bereavement and upheaval due to the outbreak of war.
This book portrays the feelings of helplessness and fear experienced by the young people of Britain during the Blitz and tells of how being a witness to such destruction inspired many to "do their bit" in order to put an end to the suffering.
The author achieves this by joining R.A.F Bomber Command and this book tells of the horror, tears and laughter of such an experience. The account goes on to reveal the years of hard work put in to establish a worthy tribute to these young people and indeed all those who fought in the Allied Air Forces.
`Winged Victory' takes it's readers from the 1920's to the present day in a nostalgic remembrance of the achievements of one man, Jim Davis.
