From it's first scheduled flight on August 25th 1919, when a DeHavilland DH4a flew from Hounslow to Le Bourget carrying a mixed cargo of Devonshire cream, leather, newspapers, and grouse, through it's growth to a fleet of 200 aircraft (in 1980) carrying 15 million passengers per year.
