{detailed description}The inside story of the most famous bombing raid of World War Two, being an extract from "Enemy Coast Ahead - Uncensored"

In 1943 RAF Bomber Command conceived the most audacious bomber operation of WWII. Challenged with destroying the mighty Moehne Dam and flooding the heavy steel factories which were vital for a German victory, engineer Barnes Wallis developed a bouncing bomb to breach the dams, using the dependable Lancaster bomber to deliver its deadly cargo.
Squadron Leader Guy Gibson was tasked with forming a secret squadron of hand-picked air-crew and specially modified Lancaster bombers to strike at Germany's industrial heartland. The chances of success hinged almost entirely on the bravery and skill of the bomber crews.
Guy Gibson's eye-witness account of the forming of the 'Dambusters' squadron and the raid itself is widely regarded as one of the finest pieces of writing of any bomber command action.
This is the true, uncensored, story of the `Dambusters' raid and Gibson's story in his own words.
