{detailed description}ALL TEXT IN GERMAN A rough translation of the original German description:
For decades she was a familiar image in the sky: the three-engine Junkers Ju-52, in the Volksmund affectionately called "Aunt Ju". Since the Jungfernflug in 1932 almost 5000 aircraft of this type were sold all over the world. At the end of 1981, the Swiss army surveyed the three most recent flying specimens. Thanks to the initiative of the Association of Friends of the Museum of the Swiss Aviation Group in Diibendorf, the oldtimer of the Lifts is again made flying for regular round-trip flights.
This book has been created on the occasion of and in support of this action. Sepp Moser, who has made a name for himself as an aviation journalist, has followed the astounding Ju-52 story: the development of the new type of aircraft with its use in scheduled traffic all over the world for the role in the Second World War and beyond. The deployment of the Ju-52 in the Swiss Army is described in detail.
Who ever as a crewmember or passenger, the now bizarre-like machine from inside knew, or even only their sympathetic hum in the ear, the text and pictures of this film will be converted into a time when the flight was still contemplative!
