The cover painting by well known artist Don Connolly depicts an attack by Mohawks of No. 5 Squadron on a Japanese supply barge on 9 April 1943. A Blenheim has just dropped a bomb, missing the barge but nearly downing a Mohawk. The bomb's explosion tosses Sgt. F.A. Gore's Mohawk 200 feet upward, leaving it holed, dented, and covered with mud.
