Prior to the issue or renewal of a Certificate of Airworthiness it is mandatory for every aircraft to make a test flight to establish that its performance complies with the Certificate of Airworthiness granted to its Type. The Type C. of A. will have been granted after exhaustive tests , usually made with the first aircraft of the type registered in the U.K.. These test flights are made under so-called "B conditions"
