Me Bf 109 The Operational Record

One of the truly great military aircraft of all time — the Bf 109 exemplified the Wartime Luftwaffe. It was built in larger numbers than any other type committed to combat by Germany or the Allies and the total number of aerial victories scored by its pilots is very unlikely ever to be approached.
This history starts with the pre-war prototype development and flight testing and the first combat missions in the Spanish Civil War. The book traces the evolution of the different models from the 109B through to the 109K; it looks at the different roles that the aircraft played throughout the war and the varied battlegrounds over which it flew. There are comprehensive details of surviving aircraft.
