Following "Fields of Little America" - the history of the Liberator squadrons of the 2nd Air Division, 8th Air force in East Anglia- Martin Bowman has written this book, the complete worldwide photographic history of the B24 Liberator during the Second World War.
The book commences with the development and production of the Liberator and follows its combat, trucking, carpetbagging and pathfinding roles in all theatres of operation with the many airforces in which it saw service.
Comprehensively illustrated with nearly 200 photographs, several reproduced in colour, the text is drawn from the personal accounts of the men who flew, maintained and fought in the Liberator throughout the Second World War.
