The development and operational use of the Hurricane. The book is divided into five sections covering the Hurricane's inception, and the difficulties encountered in getting the Air Ministry to accept the modern design principals involved, not to mention the cost. Further sections take the Hurricane's story through the Battle of Britain, and on to service at sea, and in the desert of North Africa. Illustrated with several black and white photographs. Altogether a highly readable account of one of the Royal Air Force's most illustrious combat aircraft.
