The Story of Operation Bodenplatte which involved over 800 Luftwaffe fighters attacking Allied airfields in Holland, Belgium and France on the 1st of January 1945. The Luftwaffe lost nearly 300 aircraft and 200 pilots, which proved almost impossible to replace, while allied losses were replaced in a matter of months. This 50th anniversary edition signed by the Author.
